Event to promote E-Commerce and startups in the EU

E-Commerce is currently a central issue of debate in the EU. Although there are many possibilities of growing profitable businesses in this sector, the potential of E-Commerce and E-Businesses is far from being untapped in Europe. Issues such as security polices, copyright, E-payments, uneven digital education and so, are topics of discussion concerning Digital Europe as a Single Market.

One of the most influential European event with focus on digital economy – CEEDS 2015 by Webit, will welcome the European Commission Vice-President for the Digital Single Market, Mr. Andrus Ansip. The event will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria and will host 100 top speakers, and more than 3,000 attendees from 40 countries.

During the 21st and 22nd of April 2015, CEEDS 2015 by Webit shall welcome, for the 7th year, the top European enterprises and startups to an event for the digital, tech and media/advertising markets with a special focus on Central and Eastern Europe. The participation of the Vice President of the European Commission Digital Single Markets Andrus Ansip along with important names from the tech, digital marketing and the startups stage is a clear sign of high level discussions and dialog between the business startup ecosystem and the EU.

More than 100 speakers will discuss the current state of Europe regarding the digital market, and what it will become in the coming years, as well as discussing some good practices in the Old Continent. The industrial leaders and the startups shall work together to foresee and build the future of Digital Europe at CEEDS 2015.

This year CEEDS by Webit will host 3 main parallel stages:

  • The “Tech Summit” will welcome CTOs, CIOs from the biggest companies from Europe and the region as well as governmental organizations, startups and representatives from the small and medium companies. Plamen Russev, Chairman of the Global Webit Series announced the main topics of this stage: Internet of Everything, Digital Education, Digital Health, Big Data, Cloud, Business Intelligence, Security and Privacy and Money and Payments.
  • The “Marketing and Innovation Summit” will welcome marketing directors, CIOs, and representatives from the biggest advertisers, media groups, advertising networks, agencies and retail brands. The main topics on this stage will be digital transformation, video, mobile, mobile, metrix, digital commerce, digital entertainment & media, brand social strategies.
  • The “Enterprise2Founders Summit” is the 3rd main event part of CEEDS 2015 where top level representatives from the biggest companies from Europe will discuss opportunities for innovations through collaboration with startups from the region.

The CEEDS’ speakers lineup includes CEOs, MDs, CMOs, CTOs, top executives of BitTorrent (1/3 of the world’s Internet traffic passes through the BitTorrent protocol), Forbes, Google, Microsoft, Philips, ARM, GroupM, MEC Global, and disruptive startups including the founder of Poikos (the company that created 3D software for measurement of the human body as part of a special panel on wearable health technologies), the founder of Telerik (recently sold for USD 264 million), a big number of investors, accelerators and more.

What are the Global Webit Series?

The Global Webit Series (www.webitcongress.com) were founded by Plamen Russev, a Bulgarian serial entrepreneur and investor.
