The 2016 European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2016) is Europe’s must-attend opportunity to learn about the many roles of business aviation across Europe, see the latest products and services, and meet with customers and colleagues – all in one location. Sponsored by the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA), EBACE2016 takes places in Geneva, Switzerland from 24-26 May.

Attendees will find new products, announcements, information and networking opportunities throughout EBACE2016. The event will feature more than 50 business aircraft of all sizes on static display, as well as a variety of manufacturers, aircraft completion specialists, sales and financing professionals, and service and maintenance providers.

EBACE also provides a venue to continue the important dialogue between regulatory authorities and business leaders in the region about the industry. This year’s Opening General Session will feature presentations by three distinguished and influential keynote speakers, all of whom have also been instrumental in business aviation’s humanitarian efforts: Bernard Kouchner, physician and co-founder of Médecins Sans Frontières and Médecins du Monde; Bassim Haidar, group founder and CEO of Channel IT Group; and EASA Executive Director, Patrick Ky.

In addition to serving as a key industry trade event, EBACE2016 will also include a full slate of informative education sessions addressing the latest topics of concern to business aircraft operators. This includes discussions about aircraft-emissions policies, and the use of satellite-based technologies to make business aviation safer and more efficient.

Also on the roster is the International Aircraft Transactions seminar, which will address the upcoming European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part NCC (non-commercial complex) rules requiring operators to implement safety management systems, among other mandates. Although the new rules are scheduled to take effect later this year, many business aircraft operators are still uncertain of the rule’s applicability to their operations and requirements for compliance.

Business aviation offers the unparalleled ability to link communities and companies around the world, connecting entrepreneurs to opportunities in North America, Europe, and across the globe. EBACE2016 will showcase this impressive role by highlighting the size, significance and diversity of this specialized and vital industry.
